I bought my first LINN HiFi in the 90's and played it almost every day until I sold it just three years ago, ironically for about the same amount as I paid and I paid list price. It took me 4 years of student loan to buy it, one piece with each new year at University. I thoroughly enjoyed the purchase process and complete experience from the LINN dealer, a process like no other I had experienced. The investment in a LINN system enriched my life and I would say directly influenced me. When I first got my HiFi, as a typical student, I was into every 'cool' band and tried to get to all the important gigs!
After each live concert or festival I would get home the day after with that bands latest music and re-live the experience, often playing nothing else until my next big influence came along ... usually in the form of a new release from Oasis, The Stone Roses, Paul Weller ... Pulp or another Brit-Pop or Indie band. It's only in recent years that I have acknowledged Blur were actually pretty good! You see I studied in Sheffield, North England and I'm Scottish so my acceptance couldn't really reach much further than the Manchester at the time!
Leaving University meant it was time to earn money and pay off that Student debt. Earning money also allowed travel and even more expensive concerts. New experiences and reference points coincided with the realisation that it was possible to listen to 'other' music and enjoy it, be inspired and influenced in new ways. My LINN HiFi just kept on following my music taste without complaint and simply delivered and delivered again.
You see music is important, it does effect us in an emotional way ... we connect with the artist, the melody, the pain or the joy ... that lyric explained everything you had been trying to say yourself!!
I regard myself as lucky and my investment in my LINN HiFi as simply one of the best things I ever done. My life was and is better because of that ... I am so inspired by the experience that I want more people to know what I know, to experience what I experience and to discover music played at the quality LINN deliver, can improve their lives.
Why not take half an hour of your life, sit in a nice sofa in our nice shop and see if I can play you music in such a high quality way that you simply connect?
